WELCOME TO ENTRUSTED STEWARDSHIP

Hi! I’m Ian Foreman, an advice-only financial planner passionate about helping individuals and families steward their resources with clarity, purpose, and confidence. Full disclosure: I’m Lutheran, and faith is a big part of my life. I don’t exclusively work with Christians, but it is a powerful driver in my decision making process. I strongly believe that everything we’ve been given—our money, our time, our opportunities—comes with responsibility, and thoughtful financial decisions can create lasting impact far beyond ourselves. This is a ministry to me. One I’m really passionate and excited to share.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I focus on comprehensive financial planning, personalized guidance, and practical education. While many people initially come with a single question or concern, I take the time to understand the full picture—because the best advice doesn’t exist in isolation. My goal is to equip you with clear, actionable recommendations so you can move forward with confidence and make decisions that align with your values.

As an advice-only planner, I operate under the fiduciary standard—legally and ethically required to act in your best interest at all times. I do not sell financial products, earn commissions, or manage investments. This allows me to provide objective, unbiased guidance without pressure or hidden incentives. Every recommendation is designed solely around what is best for you.

At Entrusted Stewardship, the focus isn’t just on growing wealth—it’s on using it wisely. Whether you're navigating a major decision or simply looking for clarity, I’m here to help you make thoughtful, informed choices with what you’ve been entrusted.

I graduated from Concordia University Irvine and completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ education program through Grand Valley State University. I have fulfilled the CFP Board’s rigorous education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements and am proud to have earned the CFP® certification.

I believe that great financial advice comes from a commitment to continual growth. I am a dedicated student of both the technical side of financial planning and the human side of decision-making—always learning, refining, and seeking better ways to serve others.

At the core of my work is a passion for helping people gain clarity and confidence through honest, conflict-free financial education.

Experience

My journey into financial planning began in 2005 after reading The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey and completing Financial Peace University shortly thereafter. That experience reshaped how I viewed money—not just as a tool for success, but as something to be handled with intention and responsibility.

In 2012, I entered the financial industry with Thrivent Financial, where I served as a registered investment adviser and earned my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. During that time, I was fortunate to be mentored by two incredible professionals, Thomas Kirkpatrick and Bob Bell, whose guidance helped shape both my technical skills and my approach to serving others.

In 2017, I relocated to Michigan to be closer to family, and in 2020 I joined Fifth Third Bank. There, I had the opportunity to work with thousands of households—helping individuals and families navigate real-life financial decisions across all stages of life. I later re-earned my licenses (Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65) and continued my advisory work through Fifth Third Securities.

Over the years, I began to recognize the challenges and conflicts that can exist within traditional financial services. In 2026, I discovered the advice-only model—a structure built on transparency, objectivity, and putting clients first without the influence of product sales or commissions. That realization led me to start Entrusted Stewardship.

Today, I bring together years of experience, thousands of client conversations, and a deep commitment to serving others with clarity, honesty, and purpose. My goal is simple: to help you make wise, confident decisions with what you’ve been entrusted.
